Day after yesterday: today was supposed to be my big break. I was taking a bunch of clients golfing, but The Lord decided that I didn’t need a break and soaked roanoke all day. Maybe it is just God’s tears from having to watch his kids all the time. I get it! When we moved here we decided to put the alarm clock in Maddys room so we wouldn’t have to wake up to a loud screeching box next to our head and she is young enough that she will get over it. She apparently woke up, got dressed and got into bed with me, which was my first invader of the night! The problem was I was still asleep and we woke up at 7:26 which caused me to jump out of bed in a much more startling fashion than had an alarm gone off by my head. I ran into the kitchen to pack lunch, our ration of turkey ran out days ago and I don’t even understand the logistics of taking kids to the grocery store. So pbj is was, actually on because this one doesn’t like jelly. The neighbor knocked on the door to get Maddy for school as I was finishing packing and Maddy was talking to her as she climbed up on the counter. I asked her what she was doing and she replied, “getting cereal”. Apparently she has been blessed with the time management skills of my wife’s family. I told her she doesn’t have time and she replied, what am I supposed to eat. I said, that’s why they make cereal bars it’s the same thing. And off she went. As she opened the door, I yelled “comb your fingers through your hair cause it looks like a birds nest”. Most days this week Philip and lily stay asleep but the one day I can go back to sleep they have been awoken by all the mayhem downstairs and are awake and ready to start the day. Which means they are ready for my little pony. And while I hate the show if it meant I could go back to bed I’m all for it. I got back in bed and almost dozed off when I hear the trash truck . @&$:@ I ran outside and wheeled it down to the curb and I was up for the day. Because of the rain we had to figure something to entertain us so the first step was to trash the basement with Legos. Then Thomas the train, then plastic tools . After we accomplished that goal we were looking for another room to trash so I decided to get out some wood and saws and make mommy a present. I made a nice little wooden box and the we took it to the paint department in the porch. Philip and lily painted the sides and I painted to top. I will post a picture later but by now we have successfully trashed three rooms today. We skyped with Keri and showed it to her it we did it from one of the cleaner rooms. We decided it was nap time and went back downstairs. I am obsessed with orange Gatorade which I am currently out of so lily brought down an empty bottle of Gatorade and filled it with water. She said I’m gonna leave this here until it turns in to Gatorade. While it has only been a couple if hours it doesn’t look promising. Tonight I saw the girls from a cross the street outside with Maddy and I asked them if they can watch the kids so I can run to the store real quick . ( got Gatorade but no turkey). Maddy went to their house to eat and I made Philip and lily something in the freezer that only takes four minutes. To which I got the response, don’t you remember we don’t like this. We just finished arguing about who picked out what books and put the youngest two to bed. I texted the girls across the street to send Maddy home, which was very confusing to all because apparently Maddy snuck in when I was bathing the others and was actually in the basement watching tv. Now she is studying for her spelling test tomorrow and lily is out of bed because she heard the dog. I’m glad I started early. I get to go to work tomorrow! Wow that’s not something you here everyday. But we have dance again tomorrow night so stay tuned!
