Some of you have seen this project already on Facebook but I decided to move it to the blog. Keri was reading through Better Homes and Garden magazine and saw this photo.
She decided that she had to have that bookshelf and bench seat along with the table so off to Home Depot I went. We had a black table that would work but it was all scratched up because our dog used to sit on it to look out the window, so it would need to be refinished as well. Here is the building and refinishing phase. We did decide that we needed cell phone charging capabilities so I wired up 2 outlets into the bookcase.
Then we painted the bookcase and table and decided we needed to refinish the chairs. Keri was able to grab some coffee bean sacks from a local coffee shop and we painted the chairs as well.
We still need the cushions for the bench seat but here is the side by side of what she wanted and what we ended up with.
