For those interested here is the update for operation mommy’s gone. Day 2: two wanted cereal, one wanted eggs and sausage. I complied and no one ate either. Then we watched secretariat while they screamed at the tv. Then tee ball practice for Philip. Which was most interesting because the girls had to come and it is a parent involved instructional league. So while two hung on me I taught the third to throw. Then lily and Philip fell asleep in the car so I drive around not wanting to disrupt the silence. Suddenly lily wakes up screaming that she had to go potty, but Philip was asleep so I found a gas station, tried to get her to use a cup so I wouldn’t have to take Philip in and wake him. She didn’t like that idea so I told Maddy to climb up front and lock the doors so I could leave the car running and then get in the third row so no one sees her. I ran inside got lily to potty and ran back out. When I got there Maddy was hiding in the floorboard so the police wouldn’t see her and take me to jail. Then luckily for us the Biddle’s had us over for shrimp and bourbon and let the kids chase their chicken. Now they are in bed and I’m pooped. I take that back one is coming down the stairs now!
