Day 3 isn’t over yet but as we sit in the car outside Maddy’s dance class eating Arby’s and listening to the frozen soundtrack for the 80th time and trying to convince lily that she really doesn’t need to go potty, I have a second for posting….last night both Philip and lily decided that they need my bed more than I do so I woke up to both of them pushing me off the bed (king size). Maddy came down and got breakfast and studied for her spelling test, which she told the teacher she didn’t have time to study because she was taking care of her brother and sister. She still got an A. I got all the lunches packed and sent her off then got the two youngest dressed. But before Philip got dressed he was yelling from upstairs so I went up and he was on the potty saying he needed help wiping. I said ok stand up, to which he replied no come here. I took the bait and went over to him where he bent over and tucked his head between my knees and grabbed the back of my legs. I said “what in the world” and he said this is how mommy does it! Then we go downstairs and lily is screaming that she doesn’t want the shirt I put on her. I got her a new one and we headed out to preschool. Most of the teachers responded with a giggle when I dropped them off. (I have a feeling they know that Keri is gone). Then off to work. Worked till 12:45 and the had to go pick them up to which I silently said to myself, I just dropped them off! Got them in the car and the first thing they both said is, did you forget that we like jelly on our sandwiches. Yes I did forget. And only Maddy likes the strawberry nutrigrain bars. Then I said, let’s go play in the basement. They went potty first then came downstairs both without pants and underwear. Philip said lily told him that he doesn’t have to wear undies. Apparently the 3yr old makes the rules. Maddys dance is done now and they are screaming for a potty so I will update the rest of the evening later
