Day 5ish: Philip decided that his room was too scary last night so he slept directly next to me in the king size bed lady night. I got up got all lunches packed and got them all to school on time! And I remembered the jelly. Our friend Emily picked them up for me today because I had a meeting and I got home by 1:45. Lily for some reason wanted to make Maddy something which turned out to be a small cup filled with glitter, which she brought to the basement and spilled all over Thomas the train and the table. I had to separate the two youngest a couple of times and then we heard footsteps upstairs do I went up to check on it and Maddy had gotten home and went straight to watch my little ponies. If the is one show that drives me crazy it is definitely that one. I finally convinced her to come downstairs to play. At 5 we made the discovery that the roanoke wiener stand can literally save your life. We stopped through the drive through on the way to horse back riding (don’t judge me) and of course the 90 year old in my three year olds body had to go potty again. She doesn’t even drink that much I don’t know how it is possible. On the way to riding lessons I tried to turn left on melrose from peters creek and there were cops everywhere with guns drawn. Turns out about 20 minutes earlier there was a guy on the roof of a building shooting at random cars. 20 minutes is how long it took to get our nutritious hotdogs and take the old lady to the potty. We watched Maddy ride for an hour while we watched ninja turtles in the car. Frozen was not in the car of we definitely would have watched it. While putting the youngest two to bed I realized how thankless being a parent could be when I asked Philip if he was excited that I’m going to stay home with him tomorrow and he said, “we’ll actually I didn’t have a good time today”. To which I replied, you got to play, eat hot dogs, watch ninja turtles, and oh by the way you didn’t get shot. You’re welcome! I was planning on playing Legos and throwing the baseball with you tomorrow but if it doesn’t matter what I do you can always stay in you room all day and look at the wall. To which he replied, ” I did have a good time today”. I thought so! Maddy finished her homework and then the neighbor girl came over and knocked on the door to see if she can play. It was 7:56 and bed time is 8 so I said you have four minutes don’t make me com look for you and they ran outside. It is 8:17 now and she is not back so I’m gonna put on a wife beater, grab a pbr and go start yelling from my front porch! That should embarrass her enough.
