Day whatever: in the words of Ana from the frozen soundtrack in for the first time in forever, which I now have listen to 100 times, ” I don’t know if I’m elated or gassy but I’m somewhere in that zone”. The kids are in bed! I didn’t get a chance to finish off the day yesterday because of a freakin thunderstorm at bed time. So last night no one would go to bed but Philip. Finally the girls came and got in my bed so I went downstairs to watch tv. When I came back up Philip had moved in with them. So I did what any good parent would do, I stole my pillow and went to bed in the guest room. This morning Maddy got them all breakfast while I took a shower then our neighbor came over to watch the youngest two for a couple of hours until a friend picked them up. I went to my office then ran downtown to speak at a luncheon, then ran to our shareholder meeting. I left there at 3:30 and went to pick up the kids. The only problem was I didn’t know what house they were at because no one (Keri) texted me the address. I found the friends phone number and found the house but then I needed to find Maddy. The neighbors get her off the bus and she was going to stay with them until I got home but I was an hour late and they broke their phone so I was hopeful that they had her. They did of course and I got them all home. My son is freakishly obsessed with my little pony which I hear is called being a bronie. So because they played outside at a friends all day I let them watch and lily who hates my little pony came downstairs and watched survivor man with me until we both dozed off. After waking I asked them if the wanted pizza of chicken nuggets for dinner to which Philip said, ” I want chicken nuggets and feta on pizza”. I thought about it for a minute and made them nuggets. We watched a movie while we ate and then homework and off to bed. Lily has woken up screaming for me twice since I started writing this so I guess it was just gassy not elated. Tomorrow we have the joy of preschool again and horseback riding lessons so stay tuned for that one. Today it only took three people to replace Keri. How many will it take tommorow? The good news is apparently our neighbor felt sorry for me and did the dishes and took the trash out. Looks like a owe someone some bourbon! I did remember what the box is at the street today and picked up all of our mail since Saturday, which I put in a pile because I have no idea what to do with it!
